British Passport Fees

When a citizen of the United Kingdom requires a passport for international travel, he/she will be required to pay UK passport fees. These fees are often expensive, though they vary based upon the age of the individual acquiring the passport and the type of service he/she is obtaining. When an individual obtains his/her first passport, he/she will be required to pay a UK passport fee of £77.50.

Even if he/she previously owned a child passport, he/she will be required to purchase an adult passport when he/she reaches the age of sixteen. It will also cost an individual £77.50 if he/she needs to renew his/her passport, replace a damaged, stolen, or lost passport, or extend a passports validity. If the applicant requires expedited services, he/she will be required to pay a UK passport fee of £112.50.

In the event that an individual travels frequently, either for business or pleasure, he/she may require a Jumbo passport, which consists of 48 pages. To obtain this type of passport, it will cost an individual £90.50, and if he/she needs this passport quickly, he/she must pay £120.50.

British passport fees are less expensive for individuals who are under the age of 16. In order for an individual to obtain a child passport, it will cost £49.00. Renewing a child passport, replacing a damaged, stolen, or lost child passport, or extending the validity of a child passport will also cost £49.00. Expedited services for a child passport will cost £96.50.
